Angikar Bangladesh Foundation was founded in 1996 in Dhaka, Bangladesh by a host of rights activists experienced in different sectors like students and youth, women, workers-peasants-agricultural workers. Most of the founders participated in the great liberation struggle of Bangladesh.

 

Vision:

Angikar Bangladesh envisions a world of amity, dignity and equity. Angikar dreams of a humane world place

 

Mission:

Angikar Bangladesh stresses its work on establishing all rights of the people of Bangladesh through campaign, movement, advocacy lobbying, awareness and dissemination processes.

Angikar Bangladesh does have the legal status under Society Act of the Government of Bangladesh. The organization is run by an 11 member Board of Directors. The Board delegates responsibilities to its members. A General Council consisting of all the primary members of Angikar elects the Board of Directors.

 

Angikar desires to blend volunteering approaches with the financial support devices in implementing its program and activities..
